Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Our Greatest Joy”
Text: 1Samuel 2:1
“And Hannah prayed and said:
“My heart rejoices in the LORD;
My horn is exalted in the LORD.
I smile at my enemies,
Because I rejoice in Your salvation.”
The Reminder of “Our Greatest Joy,” is what’s on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
In this heart breaking moment of “lending” her first and only son Samuel to the Lord, for as long as he lives; Hannah Rejoices IN The LORD!
How can she do this? The answer is “…because I rejoice in Your salvation.”
Hannah had the Greatest Joy; the Joy of the LORD himself!
This Joy Triumphs Over Any and All Circumstances Of Life!
She couldn’t rejoice over leaving her son but she could Rejoice IN The LORD, the One Who Completes her and makes her Whole with His Salvation! Ooooh Rah!
Hannah reminds you and I of Our Greatest Joy; the Hope of Glory IN Jesus Christ Himself!
He IS Our Greatest Joy!
Paul says it this way:
“Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Rom.5:1-5)
Listen up Warrior! In our most desperate situations when we don’t have anything to rejoice in, you and I can sing the song:
“Turn our eyes upon Jesus
Look full in His Wonderful Face
And the things of earth
Will grow strangely dim
In the Light of His Glory and Grace….”
Aaaaah Yes, my fellow Warrior we Walk with Our Greatest Joy every day through all the seasons of our life; Christ IN us the Hope of Glory:
“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”(Col.1:27).
Paul reminds you and I:
“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”(Rom.8:18).
“Our Greatest Joy” shines brightest in the darkest hour, and makes you and I His Light in this dark and desperate world. This is our Finest Hour Warrior! It’s Our Time To Shine with Our Greatest Joy! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
