Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Our Greatest Joy”
“And Hannah prayed and said:
“My heart rejoices in the LORD;
My horn is exalted in the LORD.
I smile at my enemies,
Because I rejoice in Your salvation.”
“Our Greatest Joy,” is on the menu for Breakfast this morning. Hannah’s Greatest Joy was in the Lord. Her Joy in the Lord was far greater than her joy in her “gift from God,” Samuel. Hannah’s Greatest Joy saw her Awesome God behind the Gift! Oh Hallelujah!!
Listening in on her prayer we hear her rehearse the wonders of our God:
“No one is holy like the LORD,
For there is none besides You,
Nor is there any rock like our God.” (1Sam.2:2)
“He raises the poor from the dust
And lifts the beggar from the ash heap,
To set them among princes
And make them inherit the throne of glory.” (1Sam.2:8).
Hannah’s Greatest Joy swallowed up all the years of grief and disappointment of barrenness. Her Joy was rooted in Her God; there is none like Him, Holy, Wonderful, Unchangeable!
Hannah’s Heart Rejoiced and “her horn was exalted.” In the bible “horn” means power, glory, strength, royal authority, enabling power, honor, dignity, and dominion. So to have her horn exalted means to have prosperity, triumph, and victory.
Listen up Warrior! It’s good to rediscover our Greatest Joy in our Commander and King. We have Him and He has us; our Oneness with Our God is our Greatest Joy! He has raised us up from the poverty of sin and made us His sons and daughters, kings and priests, and joint heirs with His Son Jesus Christ! Ooooh Rah! Are we rejoicing yet? Is this not Our Greatest Joy!
Our trials and tribulations here on earth are only for a brief season, when compared to eternity. His Grace and Mercy Overwhelm these trials with our Commander’s Peace:
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
Hannah’s Greatest Joy in God “exalted her horn,” brought strength and victory to her life.
Rejoicing in our Greatest Joy in the Wonder of our God will also “exalt our horn,” bringing strength and victory, Grace and Mercy into our life. Oooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
