Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Our Teacher Adversity”
Text: 1Samuel 1:15
“But Hannah answered and said, “No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.”
“Our Teacher Adversity” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Aaah yes, I can still remember my Teachers as a little boy in grade school. They “instructed me” and “they examined me” to See If I Learned What they had instructed me. That’s called Examination!
That’s What Adversity Does For The Warrior of God!
You and I need Adversity as our Teacher to Instruct and Examine us to Determine If We Have Learned What God Has Instructed us In His Word!
Adversity Examined Hannah on God’s Instructions of Worship and Prayer.
WORSHIP God in Good Times and Bad Times - BECAUSE HE IS GOD AND HE IS GOOD ALL THE TIME! Ooooh Rah!
When You Pray, Pour Out Your Soul To The Lord; don’t hold back Anything, because He Already Knows Your Need. He just wants you to get it off of you and onto Him! Ooooh Rah!
“Cast your burden on the LORD,
And He shall sustain you;
He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.” (Psa.55:22).
Aaah yes, Hannah passed the Examination of Adversity and received her reward, a son God named Samuel (“asked of God”), to remind her always how to Pray In Faith and Confidence to God - by pouring out her soul to the Lord, all the time!
Hannah received a son, Israel received a Great Prophet, and Warriors like you and I are inspired and taught today, how to Worship God in Adversity and how to Pray to God in desperation!
Our Commander Jesus Promised you and I the suffering and persecution of Adversity:
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
We need Adversity to remind us that Our Commander Jesus Christ has ALREADY Overcome and disarmed the powers of darkness and sin (Col.2:15).
Jesus Himself as Son of Man, Learned Obedience by the things He suffered:
“who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear,
though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered.”(Heb.5:7-8).
He Knew That We Needed To Be Regularly Examined to Determine If We Are In The Faith!
“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.” (2Corin.13:5)
Our Teacher Adversity Will Examine You and I, and Our Helper and Teacher Holy Spirit Will Help Us Pass The Test Every Time, If We Trust, Listen, and Obey Him.
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
