Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(2 Kings 23)
“People Follow and Imitate Their King”
Text: 2 Kings 23:3
“Then the king stood by a pillar and made a covenant before the LORD, to follow the LORD and to keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people took a stand for the covenant.”
This powerful Truth that “People Follow and Imitate Their King,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
King Josiah gathered all of Jerusalem together and read to them, Personally, the Book of the Law (Deut. 28-31).
Then he made a Personal Covenant with God to Follow the Lord and Keep His commandments and His testimonies and His statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to Perform the words of this Covenant that were written in this Book……….
And ALL The People Took A Stand For The Covenant.
King Josiah did not Command the People to do this - The People Took Their Stand For This Covenant Spontaneously and Voluntarily!
People Follow and Imitate Their King! Oooooh Rah!
Warrior’s Follow and Imitate their King and Commander Jesus Christ because You and I Love Him Supremely! He Is Our Model As Son of Man and He Is Our King As Son of God! Ooooh Rah!
Our Commander conquered and captured our heart with His Love when we met Him with our confession and repentance of our sin. He came into our heart to live when we answered His knock on the door of our heart (Rev.3:20). He brought Holy Spirit our Helper with Him to Work in You and I helping us to BOTH Desire Following and Imitating Him and also Empowering You and I to Follow and Imitate Him in our daily life (Phil.2:13).
Our Commander and King Jesus Christ Set The Standard of Righteousness for You and I, as King Josiah set the Standard of Obedience to the Book of the Law of Moses for the people of Jerusalem and Judah.
Let the mind of your Commander be in you and I as His Warrior; as we Follow and Imitate Him:
“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God,
but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.”(Phil.2:5-8).
The Warrior takes their stand for the Covenant of Grace through Faith in the work of Jesus Christ on the Cross, and the work of Holy Spirit in you and I - empowering you and I to Follow and Imitate our King and Commander!
Warriors Follow and Imitate Their King and Commander! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
