Good Morning Warrior!
Hallelujah! It’s The Lord’s Day!
Word for the Day:
“Perfect Love brings Perfect Atonement”
Text: Leviticus 16:34
“This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel, for all their sins, once a year.” And he did as the LORD commanded Moses.”
“Perfect Love brings Perfect Atonement,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Atonement means “payment in full for all our sin debt,” or redemption.
The Great Day of Atonement was practiced every year on the tenth day of the seventh month. Under the Law of Moses the Day of Atonement only “covered the sins of Israel for a year,” it had to be repeated every year; along with “daily” sin offerings. It was only a shadow that pointed to a future Perfect Love that would bring a Perfect Atonement, Once, for all the world. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ IS The Perfect Love that brings Perfect Atonement for all the world.
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.”(Eph.2:14-16)
His Unconditional Love provided complete atonement for all people - but people must “apply” this atonement to their life by confessing and repenting of their sin, and surrendering their life to Christ.
Here’s a glimpse of the first Palm Sunday morning:
“They brought the donkey and the colt, laid their clothes on them, and set Him on them.
And a very great multitude spread their clothes on the road; others cut down branches from the trees and spread them on the road.
Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:
“Hosanna to the Son of David!
Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’
Hosanna in the highest!” (Matt.21:7-9)
This Palm Sunday morning in Jerusalem many people were cheering Jesus but only a few had truly surrendered their Life to Him. We’ll see these “few” at the foot of the Cross on Friday afternoon…..
This week we will remember and rehearse the days of the last week our Commander and King walked the earth as Son of Man and our Perfect Atonement. Keep this in mind Warrior, the Glory of the Resurrection on Passover Sunday is waiting for us up ahead.
Warrior at your side,
