Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Plague In The House”
Text: Leviticus 14:34-35
“When you have come into the land of Canaan, which I give you as a possession, and I put the leprous plague in a house in the land of your possession, and he who owns the house comes and tells the priest, saying, ‘It seems to me that there is some plague in the house,’”
“Plague In The House,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Our body is God’s temple, His house; and you and I manage His house.
“Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.” (1Corin.6:19-20).
The condition of our “house” affects every relationship we have; with God, our Family, our local church, and all other relationships with others.
Our ‘house’ must be free from the plague of sin!
When there is water damage in a house from a broken pipe or flood, mildew spreads like a plague in the house. The outside of the walls appear dry after removing the water - but the plague of mildew is silently spreading.
Sin is that way. Untreated by confession and repentance, sin can spread like the plague of mildew throughout our house, infecting every thing that we do or say.
So, as the “Manager of the House, we call our High Priest Jesus Christ in prayer, and say “It seems to me that there is some plague in the house.”
He tells us to “empty the house,” humble and empty ourself; and then He will come in to “examine the house,” beginning on the inside of the walls and foundation of our house.
Cleansing of the plague in the house begins in the inner sanctum of the heart.
The remedy for the plague in the house begins by responding with confession and repentance to the Conviction of Holy Spirit telling you and I that “there is a plague of sin in the house.” He begins leading us through His search through the walls and foundation of our heart; examining the stuff we have accumulated as ‘furniture’ in our house, the pleasures of this world that we have come to rest upon. This has weakened the foundation and walls of our house because we depended on ‘the furniture’ instead of ‘The Owner’ of the house.
Once our house has been cleansed of this spiritual leprosy our High Priest declares that our house is Clean!
We have confessed and repented of of sin, and He has Forgiven us and Cleansed us from All unrighteousness!
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1John 1:9). The Plague In The House has been removed, and our House Is Clean! Oooooh Rah!
