Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(2 Samuel 7)
“Praying The Promises of God”
Text: 2 Samuel 7:27
“For You, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, have revealed this to Your servant, saying, ‘I will build you a house.’ Therefore Your servant has found it in his heart to pray this prayer to You.”
“Praying the Promises of God,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Nothing pleases God more than to hear His son and daughter Pray His Promises. Some people “read” the Promises of God, or “say” the Promises of God; but only when you and I PRAY the Promises of God, by making them ours By Faith - Do we actually “use them.”
God Gives His Promises to be Received and Used!
That’s how King David Prayed the Promises of God. He said:
“Now, O LORD God, the word which You have spoken concerning Your servant and concerning his house, establish it forever and do as You have said.”(2Sam.7:25).
In other words David is Praying to God:
“Do What You Have Said.”
God Gives you and I His Promises to be Received and Used by Faith, Trusting God To Do What He Said He Will Do!
It Glorifies God and Thrills Him when you and I make His Promise personal to you and I, and bring His Promise up to Him in Prayer saying “What You Promised I Receive By Faith and Use By Obedience…”
We receive His Promise of Forgiveness when we make His Promise ours; by confessing and repenting of our sin, and then He forgives and cleanses you and I from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We make His Promise of Peace ours by Receiving by Faith and Using By Obedience:
“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”(John 14:27)
“You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You.”(Isa.26:3)
We Receive His Promise for Help also with Faith and Use it with Obedience to come boldly as a son and daughter of God to the throne of Grace:
“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”(Heb.4:16)
Listen up Warrior! Unless we make His Promise ours personally, it remains “unclaimed!”
Make Your Commander’s Promises YOURS, Personally made to YOU! Deploy His Promises into your Life with Obedience and Trust; and you will make your Commander Jesus Christ Happy and Proud of you as His son and daughter! He Gives His Promises To You and I Personally, to be Received and Used, So That He Will Be Glorified in our Life! Oooh Rah!
Here’s His Promise of Consolation for you and I:
“To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”(Isa.61:3).
Pray The Promises of God Warrior! Oooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
