Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"Prevailing Prayer Leaves a Mark."
"Now when He saw that He did not prevail against him, He touched the socket of his hip; and the socket of Jacob’s hip was out of joint as He wrestled with him."
Our Breakfast this morning is focused on Jacob's prevailing prayer with our Commander Jesus. Jacob was marked when God touched the muscle on his hip and it shrank, making him limp. God also changed the "Supplanter" Jacob into "Prince with God" Israel (v.28); because of prevailing prayer.
It is in the theater of prayer where Warriors are marked by their Commander. He "touches" us and we are marked forever with these moments of wrestling and desperate prayer.
He touches us with the peace and confidence that ".. we have the petition that we have asked of Him" (1John 5:14-15).
He touches us with "all sufficient Grace" to bear the challenges we all face, as Paul did (2Corin.12:7-10).
Our Commander and King is a Model of Prevailing Prayer; in the Garden of Gethsemane He prayed for Father God's will to be done not His own will. Sweating blood from capillaries bursting on His face from stress. Three successive times this wrestling went on, alone with His Father.(Matt.26:39,42,44).
Listen up Warrior! Let us Pray with the same Target our Commander aimed at in Gethsemane: "Your Will Be Done Father, Not Mine!"
Pray the Promises of God like your Commander does, Jacob, did, and Elijah did; and wrap it all up with "Your Will Be Done Father, Not Mine!"
Prevailing prayer will leave a mark of greater faith, trust, and confidence in our Commander and His Word!
We know that the fervent and effectual prayer of a righteous person avails much (James 5:16-18). Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
