Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Remember the Day”
Text: Deuteronomy 16:3
“You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, that is, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life.”
“Remember the Day,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. God gave Israel the Day of Passover (Exod.12), to Remember the Day, every year; the Day He passed over their house when He saw the blood of the lamb on the lintel and doorposts of their house. The firstborn of Israel lived while the firstborn of Egypt died.
This Day became the first month of the year for Israel, signaling the beginning of a new life; liberated from the slavery of Egypt to walk with Almighty God as His people.
God gave Israel ‘The Lord’s Passover’
as A Day to Remember, a Memorial and feast to the Lord each year as an everlasting ordinance.
“So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to the LORD throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance.”(Exod.12:14).
Do you remember the day you gave your life to Jesus Christ? Do you remember your desperation and His overwhelming Love that broke and then captured your heart?
Every time you and I share our personal testimony with someone ‘we remember and rehearse this Day!’ It’s like we get saved again! Our First Love is stirred once again and everything becomes new and fresh again. That’s what happens when we remember the Day of our Salvation.
Israel remembered this day once every year, you and I remember this day every time we share our testimony and every time we celebrate ‘The Lord’s Supper’ of Communion with Him.
We remember His body broken for us and His blood shed for us. (1Corin.11:23-26).
Our Commander Jesus Christ Is Our Passover Lamb, His blood we applied on the lintel and doorposts of our life; at the altar of confession and repentance.
We were ‘born again’ because of this Day. We became a new creation in Christ Jesus on this Day; all the old days of slavery passed away and everything became new (2Corin.5:17)
We enjoy our daily communion with Our Commander and King because of this Day!
“But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”(1John 1:7).
You and I walk with the Light, In the Light, because of The Light; and we rehearse and remember the Day we were delivered from darkness to Light:
“He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,
in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”(Col.1:13-14).
Once again, let us Remember the Day of our Salvation! Oooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
