Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Resting Upon God”
Text: Exodus 39:6-7
“And they set onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold; they were engraved, as signets are engraved, with the names of the sons of Israel.
He put them on the shoulders of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel, as the LORD had commanded Moses.”
Aaah, “Resting Upon God,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The Ephod and the Breastplate of the High Priest had 12 precious stones on both of them. These 12 stones had the names of the 12 tribes of Israel engraved upon them. The Ephod rested on the Shoulders and the Breastplate rested upon the Heart of the High Priest. This gives you and I a picture of our Perfect High Priest and Commander Jesus Christ, Who lives forever to make intercession for you and I as our High Priest (Heb.7:25).
Our name is engraved upon the palm of His hand. He tells you and I:
“See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands;
Your walls are continually before Me.”(Isa.49:16).
Yes, we are Resting Upon God! We rest in the palm of His Hand.
We rest upon His Shoulder of strength and power -
And we rest upon His Heart as a precious stone, and “the apple of His eye. He tells you and I:
“For thus says the LORD of hosts: “He sent Me after glory, to the nations which plunder you; for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.” (Zechariah.2:8).
Listen up Warrior! Your Strength is Found in your Weakness. Paul tells us this Truth:
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2Corin.12:9-10).
The Righteous Warrior Is Resting Upon God at all times; in The Palm of His hand, on His Shoulders of Strength, and on His Heart as the apple of His eye. That’s Where The Warrior Rests at all times! Oooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
