Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
Text: Nehemiah 5:8
“And I said to them, “According to our ability we have redeemed our Jewish brethren who were sold to the nations. Now indeed, will you even sell your brethren? Or should they be sold to us?”
Then they were silenced and found nothing to say.”
“Servant Leadership,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Warriors are expected to be Servant Leaders!
A Servant Leader shares power, and serves the needs and best interests of those they lead.
To see what this looks like we can look at The Model Servant Leader - our Commander and King Jesus Christ!
He shares His power with us and through us -
He serves our needs and best interests with All His Resources of Love, Grace, and Mercy; changing us from glory to glory more into His image (2Corin.3:18).
Nehemiah saw his Model of Servant Leadership as Yahweh, and he practiced that model in leading the remnant of Israel.
The nobles and rulers Failed their responsibility as servant leaders by oppressing the poor and struggling people by selling food to them at high prices and with interest; ultimately making them slaves to themselves! This is clearly a failure of servant leadership.
Listen up Warrior! We should check our model of servant leadership against the model of our Commander Jesus Christ. Do we follow His model of leading us, as we lead others?
Here in a capsule is the Model of Servant Leadership;
“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.”
Let this be our Model also as Warrior’s in all we do in our family, our work, our school, and our church. Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
