Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Serving God and Man”
Text: Exodus 28:28
“They shall bind the breastplate by means of its rings to the rings of the ephod, using a blue cord, so that it is above the intricately woven band of the ephod, and so that the breastplate does not come loose from the ephod.”
“Serving God and Man,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The Responsibility of the High Priest was to Serve God and God’s People. The Ephod was symbolic of the High Priest’s relationship with God as His chosen representative for the people. It covered his shoulders showing his service and labor for God and the people.
The Breastplate was symbolic of the High Priest’s relationship with the people. It was personal, the names of their tribes were on the heart of the High priest continually.
The gold chains connecting the Ephod and the Breastplate together represented purity of heart, that would keep the High Priest connected with God and with the people.
We can see in this High Priest the shadow of Messiah Yeshua our High Priest.
He is connected to God the Father as Son of God, and the Lamb of God; and He is connected to Man as Son of Man, Lord, Savior, and Eternal High Priest.
He Serves the Father and He serves you and I; your name is on His heart Continually!
The Warrior represents their Commander Jesus Christ in this world. We Serve God First and then we Serve others. Our Mission Statement is captured in one sentence:
“Love God Supremely and Our fellow man equally!” (Luke10:27)
Because we Love God Supremely we Serve Him.
It is in Loving and Serving God that we learn how to Love and Serve others.
Warrior at your side,
