Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Set apart by God for Service”
Text: Leviticus 8:30
“Then Moses took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood which was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, on his sons, and on the garments of his sons with him; and he consecrated Aaron, his garments, his sons, and the garments of his sons with him.”
“Set apart by God for Service,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The priests were set apart by God for service by the Consecration ceremony. Cleansing of their body was first and then anointing their right ear, right thumb, and right large toe with the anointing oil and blood of the sacrificed animal.
We see that the Aaron was “washed,” by Moses (standing in the place of God); he didn’t wash himself.
And Aaron “received” the garments prepared by the work of others, not his own labor.
This was humbling to Aaron, showing him that God had provided everything for his Consecration offering; the washing of his body and the anointing oil and the blood from the offering. Aaron only provided a surrendered life.
That’s you and I Warrior, today!
First, we can’t be cleansed from our sin until we are humbled by the offering of Jesus Himself that He has already prepared for you and I, in spite of our sin! That’s really humbling!
God Himself washes us with the work of His Word (Eph.5:25-26), and the regenerating work of Holy Spirit (Titus 3:4-6); and this “cleansing” was accomplished by the death and resurrection of our Commander Jesus Christ! (Rev.1:5-6).
We receive this Consecration to God by Faith in the cleansing, anointing, and regenerating work “that He has provided,” for you and I.
We honor this Consecration by walking in Love and Obedience to Our One and Only True Love, our Commander and King Jesus Christ!
Yes, you and I have been “set apart by God for Service;” to Him first and then to others in His Name!
Let us Receive this and Honor this with our surrendered life of Love and Obedience! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
