Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(Joshua 4:1 - 5:12)
“Stones of Remembrance “
Text: Joshua 4:7
“Then you shall answer them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever.”
“Stones of Remembrance,” are on our menu for Breakfast this morning. God commanded that one man of each tribe of Israel take a stone from where the Priests stood in the middle of the Jordan - and take it to the other side with them. These twelve Stones of Remembrance made a Memorial Altar “to remind Israel of the Awesome Miracle that God did, parting the Jordan River for them!
The reason for this is: “that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever.” (Joshua 4:24).
Stones of Remembrance Remind us of Our Commander’s Omnipotence and this brings a holy fear and respect for our Commander.
Listen up Warrior! How many “Red Sea’s” and “Jordan Rivers,” has your Commander led you through? Every miracle, every answered prayer is a Stone of Remembrance for you and I. Consider the Stone’s of Remembrance in your life today - and Know that Your Commander Who performed each miracle in the past is the same God today as He was in the past! And He will be the same God and Commander Who Will Lead You Through The “Jordan Rivers,” ahead of you. Your Omnipotent Commander and King is UNCHANGING.
Oh, I remember this chorus:
“I've seen You move, come move the mountains -
And I believe, I'll see You do it again.
You made a way, where there was no way
And I believe, I'll see You do it again.....”
These Stones of Remembrance are for you and I to Remember the Power and Authority of our Almighty God - and to fear Him with Holy Awe and Wonder!
These Stones of Remembrance are also for others to Know by our personal testimony: “that all the peoples of the earth may know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty, that you may fear the LORD your God forever.”
Consider your a Stones of Remembrance today my fellow Warrior - and tell somebody what great things God has done in your life! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
