Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Strangers and Sojourners With God!"
Text: Lev. 25:23
“‘The land shall not be sold permanently, for the land is Mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with Me.”
Wow! What a great picture of Our Commander and His Warriors - Walking as Strangers and Sojourners together, through our Journey in this world.
Our Commander and King Owns Everything and We Manage Everything.
In our text we find that the Land rested every 7th year and was released back to it’s owner every 50 years. This illustrated the rest we enjoy from our Commander’s Redemption of us from the bondage of sin; our Personal Jubilee! Can you hear the trumpets blasting now?
The Land had rest and so did the people; they both depended upon God to bring such a great harvest in year number 6, that it would last for 3 years! (Lev. 25:21). What a miracle this is!
The Warrior depends upon their Commander Jesus also: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” (2Corin. 9:8) And so we enter into His rest by Faith (Heb. 4:3).
We walk together with our Commander as Strangers and Sojourners in this world. We’re not friends with this world system, we march to a different beat, and follow a different pathway in the footsteps of our King. We Own Nothing but We Manage Everything.
We walk with Our Commander every day, and that’s how we learn about Him and His ways; chewing on His Word, talking with Him, Listening to Him, and walking in the awe and wonder of being changed more into His image! (2Corin.3:18).
Oh I’m hearing a favorite chorus now:
“We’re marching to Zion,
Beautiful, beautiful Zion.
We’re Marching Upward to Zion,
The Beautiful City of God”
Oh Wow! What a Life!
Walking Together With Our Commander as Strangers and Sojourners in this world!
Warrior at your side,
