Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(Numbers 30, 31)
"Take No Prisoners"
Text: Numbers 31:3
"So Moses spoke to the people, saying, “Arm some of yourselves for war, and let them go against the Midianites to take vengeance for the LORD on Midian."
"Take No Prisoners" is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The Midianites represented sin to Israel. They had tempted, ensnared, and led them to disobedience and spiritual adultery with God. God commanded Israel to "arm themselves for war, go against them, and take vengeance for the LORD upon them! Take No Prisoners, kill them all.
Please hear me Warrior! Our Rules of Engagement with sin are clear:
Death upon contact!
In declaring what the Mission of the Marine Corps is Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Troy Black, stated it well: "We locate, we close with, and we destroy the enemy. Period."
Israel did not obey God's Rules of Engagement. They took "prisoners," they let sin back into the camp, because they loved sin more than they loved God!
We are commanded to not allow sin to reign over us (Rom.6:12).
We are commanded to let the mind of Christ be in us and rule us:
"Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless humility],” (Phil. 2:5 AMP).
Our Commander has a zero tolerance for sin and so must His Warrior!
How do we do this?
We let the Word of God live, and grow, and work through our life; changing our heart, attitudes, and behavior.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."(Col.3:16-17).
We are at war with our spiritual enemy the devil and we must always be on a "war footing," in our lifestyle. Daily meeting with our Commander for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; praying, reading, and applying the Word of God to our life.
Obey your Rules of Engagement with sin and Take No Prisoners! Oooh Rah!
This will be the Faithful Warrior's Testimony who Loves God Supremely to the end:
"And they overcame and conquered him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, for they did not love their life and renounce their faith even when faced with death.”
(Rev. 12:11 AMP)
