Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Taking Care of the Fire”
Text: Leviticus 6:13
“A fire shall always be burning on the altar; it shall never go out.”
“Taking Care of the Fire,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The priest’s duty was to Take Care of the Fire on the altar. The original fire on the Altar came from Heaven - It was God’s Fire; and it needed to be kept burning continually because burnt offerings were continually required for the people.
So the Fire in the Warrior’s heart must be kept burning on the altar of our heart. God’s fire consumes our Continual Offering of ourself as a Living Sacrifice unto God.
Our God is a consuming fire (Heb.12:29). His Fire that was upon the Disciples in Acts 2:3 is upon the altar of the Warrior’s heart, and burns fervently as we walk with God, in prayer, praise, and worship of Him, sitting at His feet for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, eating His Word. Like the two disciples on the road to Emmaus who walked with the Resurrected Jesus Christ, said to each other:
“And they said to one another, “Did not our heart burn within us while He talked with us on the road, and while He opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32).
So may His Fire on the altar of our heart BURN FERVENTLY in our Continual Love, Service, and Faith in Him! Ooooh Rah!
Passion Week Devotional
Day 3 Today, “Sons of the Resurrection”
Text: Luke 20:35-38
On this Tuesday of His Passion Week Jesus is teaching about eternal life, comparing it to physical life in this world. In verse 38 He sums it all up by saying “For He is not the God of the dead but of the living, for all live to Him.”
Warriors who Love Him Supremely live eternally with Him because He died and rose again, as “the First born from the dead.” (Col.1:18). We are children of the Resurrection!
Meditation: The Cost He Paid For My Eternal Life.
Let us Consider Our Ways:
“Am I Living For Him or myself?
He Died for me - so I could Live for Him. How precious is this to me?
He physically rose from the dead - so I can have this Hope for Resurrection also. How precious is this to me?
Make time to meditate upon this, and chew on this today...
Warrior at your side,
