Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(Deuteronomy 7:11 - 8:20)
“Testing The Heart”
Text: Deuteronomy 8:2
“And you shall remember that the LORD your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.”
“Testing The Heart,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Moses is explaining to Israel God’s Purpose in their journey through the challenges of the wilderness: “to humble you and test you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not.”
Israel’s failures and sufferings were directly related to their Heart of unbelief and failure to keep God’s Commandments.
Moses is rehearsing these past failures with Israel and instructing them to “keep the commandments of the Lord, and to walk in His ways and to fear Him.”(Deut.8:6). When they pass the test of Obedience , by listening to God’s Commandments, keeping them and doing them, God will find in them a heart of Faith, “And He Will Love You, and Bless You, and Multiply You….” (Deut.7:12-13)
There will continue to be “tests” along the way, to “see what’s in their heart; faith or unbelief!”
Listen up Warrior! This is the Purpose of our journey through the Wilderness of this life on earth - God is testing our heart to see our Faith or unbelief.
Our heart is tested in good times and harsh times. Good times are tested to see if we get sloppy with our Faith, self-indulgent in the victory, and self-congratulation in “our victory;” or if we maintain our Faith and Trust in God Alone by giving glory to God for “His Victory, AGAIN!”
Every challenge is a test to see what’s in our heart; Faith or Unbelief!
Unbelief weakens us, disarms us, and neutralizes you and I, making us ineffective in spiritual warfare.
Faith grows us from glory to glory; Giving God the Glory for Every Victory, and Growing Ever Increasing Faith with each victory!
So, Both the place of Conquest and the Furnace of Affliction “test our heart to see if we will keep His Commandments,” and Love God Supremely.
Listen up Warrior! Rehearse and Remember God’s Faithfulness from the day of your salvation to these day; He has been Faithful in the Past, He Is Faithful in the Present, and He Will Be Faithful in the Future, because He Is Unchangeable! Ooooh Rah!
Every time you and I pray, every day, Remind God of His Faithfulness to Do What He Says He Will Do! Your Faith will grow, your prayer will prevail, and Your Commander and King will find a Heart of Growing Faith in you! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
