Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"The Battle field of the Heart"
"Now Solomon brought the daughter of Pharaoh up from the City of David to the house he had built for her, for he said, “My wife shall not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, because the places to which the ark of the Lord has come are holy.”
For Breakfast this morning we are reminded that the Battlefield of the Heart is engaged with enemies "outside" our self, like people, circumstances, physical and material challenges.
There is also a Battlefield of The Heart "within us" that we engage with our enemies of lust of the flesh, lust of the eye, and the pride of life (1John 2:15-17).
This morning we see King Solomon in a season of Peace "outside Himself" with no wars around him. The Theater of Combat has shifted from "outside forces of evil," to the beachhead of evil "within him;" lust of the flesh
God commanded Israel to not inter marry with Egypt; but Solomon married Pharoah's daughter!
Lust of the flesh got a foothold in Solomon's heart and led him away from God in his later years.
God warned the Kings of Israel in Deut.17:16-20 not to multiply horses to himself, (lust of the eye for power), multiply wives to himself, (lust of the flesh), not to multiply gold and silver to himself (pride of life) - and to write a copy of God's law for himself to read, to meditate, upon it, and apply it to their life Every Day!
We can take a lesson from this today, Warrior!
Reading, Meditating, and Applying God's Word to our life every day; Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, will expose the enemies "inside our self," like bad attitudes.
Read, Meditate, and Practice God's Word every day and you will complete your Mission and Report to your Commander and King "Mission Accomplished, Sir!"
