Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Burden and Bridge of Adversity”
Text: Genesis 45:8
“So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.”
“The Burden and Bridge of Adversity,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Joseph’s reunion with his brother’s this morning was the end of the “Burden and Bridge of Adversity” for Joseph, his brothers, and his father.
Everyone, Believer and Unbeliever, will deal with Adversity because it’s God’s Tool To Build Personal Relationship with Him. It’s a Burden and a Bridge.
For the Unbeliever like Joseph’s brothers, the Burden was their sin and Guilty Conscience that haunted them for over 20 years. The Burden for the Believer like Joseph, was allowed by God to Examine and Test Joseph’s Godly Character of Love, Grace and Mercy.
The Bridge was the Journey from the pit to the palace for Joseph, ending with a deeper and more intimate personal relationship with God.
The Bridge of misery for the brothers was their betrayal and sale of their little brother, the lie they told to their father, the accusation of being spies, money in their sacks, silver cup in their sacks, and now to the end of their Bridge at Repentance and Restoration.
God Allows Adversity in our life as Warriors to Build and Grow Personal Relationship With Him.
Yes, it’s a Burden that reminds us of our weakness and the Source of our Strength:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”(Phil.4:13)
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”(Eph.6:10).
The Faithful Warrior Walks With Their Commander THROUGH Adversity, and OVER the Bridge “From Where They Are To Where God Wants Them To Be; into a Deeper and More Intimate Relationship With HIM! Ooooh Rah!
Stay the Course Warrior! Your Commander Almighty God and Your Helper Holy Spirit Are With You and In You At All Times! Rejoice and Be Stedfast in the Faith.
Be Encouraged with our fellow Warrior Paul’s admonition:
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory,
while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.”(2Corin.4:16-18).
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
