Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(2 Kings 24)
“The Choice of Mercy or Judgement”
Text: 2Kings 24:3
“Surely at the commandment of the LORD this came upon Judah, to remove them from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done,”
“The Choice of Mercy or Judgement,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. God’s Word is a two-edged Sword and it cuts both ways, Mercy or Judgement. We choose Mercy when we confess and repent of our disobedience, or we choose Judgement when we refuse to confess and repent. It’s Our Choice.
By their stubborn rebellion against God, and continued refusal to take heed to the warnings of judgement from God’s prophets; Israel Chose the Judgement of God. This is why Jerusalem was destroyed and the surviving people were made captives.
We live in a world that, like Jerusalem, is being destroyed by sin and many are still captives enslaved by sin.
Our Commander Jesus came to set all the captives of sin free; (Luke 4:18), but the captives must make their Choice to Choose Mercy.
The Warrior made that choice to Choose Mercy, and along with Mercy we received God’s Grace, Favor, and Adoption as sons and daughters of God.
We received a Mission also:
To Know God and To Make Him Known by others!
Our Life is Our Message to those slaves of sin we walk among. Our life is to be a showplace, a “living letter,” for unbelievers to see the dramatic transformation from unbeliever to a believer.
“You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men;
clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.” (2Corin.3:2-3).
“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”(2Corin.3:18).
Listen up Warrior! Our Commander’s Grace and Mercy Empowers us to walk in this dying world as His Messengers of Hope - because we Choose Mercy Every Day!
Remember Your Mission Warrior! Don’t allow the chaos and troubles around you to distract you from your Mission:
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works,
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Heb.10:23-25).
