Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Consecrated Life”
Text: Exodus 29:18
“And you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD; it is a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.”
“The Consecrated Life,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The priest’s life was to be a Consecrated Life set apart from a common purpose to be consecrated for a holy purpose to God and His people.
The burnt offering is a picture of this consecrated life. In effect it said to the priests: “We have failed to give our all to You God. Now this animal dies in our place to give it’s all to atone for our failure; and we decide now to live now, giving our all to You as this animal did.”
This is what our Commander Jesus Christ did for you and I. He died so we could live. He rose from the dead to live forever so you and I will rise from the dead and live forever with Him.
So now you and I decide every day, to live now, giving our all to You as You gave Your all for us:
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”(Rom.12:1-2).
The Warrior lives a consecrated life by Faith and Trust in their Commander:
“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”(Gal.2:20).
So everything we do or say, we do as if we are doing it unto Jesus Himself.
“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”(Col.3:17). Holy Spirit our Helper works in you and I to Live The Consecrated Life; as we meet with Him for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner, and walk with Him every day. (Phil.2:13). Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
