Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Cure For Sin”
Text: Num. 19:12
“He shall purify himself with the water on the third day and on the seventh day; then he will be clean. But if he does not purify himself on the third day and on the seventh day, he will not be clean.”
“The Cure For Sin” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. The Red Heifer and the Waters of Purification were a symbol of Messiah, Jesus Christ; and His Blood that is the Only Cure for Sin. The red heifer had no defect and had never been ‘yoked’ for common service. It was slaughtered ‘outside the camp,’ and her ashes were kept in a holy place outside the camp; to be used for purification from uncleanness. The ashes were applied on the “third day’ with running water, and the ‘seventh’ day also. This foretold the resurrection of Jesus on the third day and confirmed His Perfect Cure for sin on the seventh day (7 is God’s Perfect Number).
This also pictured the ‘Holy Work’ of our Lord and Savior Jesus; without defect, yoked by Love for the Holy Purpose of the redemption of mankind. He was slaughtered on the cross ‘outside the camp,’ of Jerusalem on the hill of Golgotha (the place of the Skull). His blood was presented to God in Heaven’s Holy Tabernacle as the Cure for the son’s of mankind - Once and For All Time. There is no other Cure for sin but the precious innocent Blood of Jesus Christ. Man has searched for ‘another cure’ through religion, and idolatry; but it’s all unacceptable to God. He provided the Only Acceptable Offering of Himself!
Listen up Warrior! We hold the Cure for Sin in our lives as a Sacred Trust, to share Him with this lost and dying world. It is not enough for us to accept this Cure for Sin and Walk with God - we are Commanded and Expected to SHARE the Cure with others (Matt. 28:18-20).
He has made us His Light for this world to SEE His good works in us and through us - as we Live for God as His Showplace (May. 5:14-16).
He made us His Salt to FLAVOR every conversation and relationship with His Love and Mercy (Mat. 5:13).
In the words of Steve Green from his song The Mission:
“To Love the Lord our God,
Is the Heartbeat of our Mission.
The Stream from which our Service overflows.....
Across the Street or Around the world,
The Mission’s still the same -
PROCLAIM And LIVE The Truth in Jesus Name!” Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
