Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Deceitfulness of sin”
Text: Joshua 7:21
“When I saw among the spoils a beautiful Babylonian garment, two hundred shekels of silver, and a wedge of gold weighing fifty shekels, I coveted them and took them. And there they are, hidden in the earth in the midst of my tent, with the silver under it.”
The “Deceitfulness of sin” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. Oh how quickly this sin virus spreads from the eye, to the mind and the heart, and the action of stealing the Babylonian garment, silver, and gold. What was pleasant in the eyes of Achan became a burden to hide. This is the Deceitfulness of the sin virus that spreads like leaven in a loaf of bread (1Corin.5:6)
It begins in the eye of the beholder, Eve in the Garden, Achan at Jericho, and the immoral man in the Corinthian church. Then, when allowed to spread it corrupted all mankind, all of Israel, and the Corinthian Church!
Can you see this Deceitfulness of sin that brings death to every person it touches.
“Wisdom is better than weapons of war;
But one sinner destroys much good.”
Achan’s sin made all Israel “doomed to destruction!”
“Therefore the children of Israel could not stand before their enemies, but turned their backs before their enemies, because they have become doomed to destruction. Neither will I be with you anymore, unless you destroy the accursed from among you.”(Joshua 7:12).

“Your word I have hidden in my heart,
That I might not sin against You.” (Psa.119:11).
As one person’s sin affects many people - so one Warrior’s Righteousness In Christ affects many people.
“You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked;
but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”(2Pet.3:17-18)
