Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The frailty of man without God”
Text: Numbers 20:12
“Then the LORD spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”
“The frailty of man without God,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Mankind at their best is still dirt plus God (Gen.2:7); yet you and I can forget this so easily. This is one reason why trials and tribulations have been prepared for us to remind you and I of the frailty of man without God. We sanctify or set apart God as Holy and Perfect when we recognize our desperate dependence upon Him. You and I are humbled by God’s Love, Grace, and Mercy regularly by the challenges we face every day.
Even Moses, the most humble man on the earth (Num.12:3), in a moment of anger and frustration disobeyed God. God told Moses to speak to the rock but Moses spoke to the people; and took God’s glory for this miracle upon himself by saying “must we fetch you water from this rock.” (v.10). Moses forgot his frailty in a moment of anger.
You and I can forget our frailty in times of fruitfulness; taking God’s glory for ourself. As long as we’re in this world we will remain frail earthen vessels that hold the Treasure of God within us. (2Corin.4:7)
We’ll always be weak in ourselves but we’ll find our strength in the power of the Treasure we hold.(2Corin.12:7).
It’s God’s work of Grace and Mercy in you and I as His Showroom that’s on display every day.
Like water from a rock in the desert God brings life from a dead sinner; and puts it on display for the world to see. His Treasure in a frail earthen vessel, changing us from glory to glory more into His image by the power of Holy Spirit in us!(2Corin.3:18) Oh Hallelujah!
Let’s remember we’re the earthen vessel and Christ in us is the Treasure; and all the Glory belongs to Him! Ooooh Rah!
