Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Gift of Service”
“Therefore you and your sons with you shall attend to your priesthood for everything at the altar and behind the veil; and you shall serve. I give your priesthood to you as a gift for service, but the outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”
Our Breakfast this morning has “The Gift of Service,” on the menu to chew on.
Service is a Gift? Yes! And it has a Reward also for those who “use it!”
Aaron and his sons were given the priesthood as a gift, and they were commanded to use this gift to Serve God and Israel. From their service God rewarded them for their “use of the gift,” by giving them “.... every devoted thing in Israel.”(v.14), as well as the tithes of Israel.(v.26).
Service is a Gift and our Reward is a Gift also.
As Believers and Warriors we have been given a Priesthood also, as a Gift (1Pet.2:4,9-12). We did nothing to ‘earn’ this; it was given to us as a Gift. Our Commander made us a royal priesthood to Serve Him as a holy people and to Serve others through good works. This Service is the fruit of Love. Love Gives and Love Serves. As Elders in the Church or Warriors on the Battlefield of life; we’re not coveteous of dishonest gain, but examples of servant leadership to those we lead. As our Commander leads us, so we lead others. For our Service we receive His provision here and a Crown of Glory in Heaven that does not fade away (1Pet. 5:1-4).
Listen up Warrior! Use your Gift of Service Well. Your Commander deserves this and this world desperately needs this. We are Warrior Priests! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
