Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(Judges 2:6 - 3:4)
“The Growing of a Warrior”
Text: Judges 2:10
“When all that generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation arose after them who did not know the LORD nor the work which He had done for Israel.”
“The Growing of a Warrior” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The Warrior is a Student and a Teacher. They need to Learn to Fight as a Warrior, obeying God’s Rules of Engagement. They also need to Teach others how to Fight as a Warrior, from Lessons Learned from their experience in spiritual warfare.
This is where Israel failed. They did not Teach the next generation how to Fight as a Warrior, and they didn’t Teach them from the Lessons Learned from their experience in warfare. Therefore, “another generation arose after them that did not know the LORD nor the work that He had done for Israel.”
So God “tested and proved” them by allowing the remaining Canaanites to live so that this generation would learn to know war.
“Now these are the nations which the LORD left, that He might test Israel by them, that is, all who had not known any of the wars in Canaan
(this was only so that the generations of the children of Israel might be taught to know war, at least those who had not formerly known it),” (Judges 3:1-2).
Listen up Warrior! God is not building spoiled children, whining and complaining babies to live in a comfortable bed of feathers. God is Building Warriors who Love God Supremely, and Trust and Obey Him Unconditionally!
We live in a hostile foreign land, and immature spoiled children will not survive! That is the picture Israel shows us today as a Lesson Learned. “Kill your enemy or become like your enemy.”
How does the Warrior Grow up? Like a Branch grows from the life of a True Vine by constantly abiding in the Vine. Like a son and daughter grows from living every day with their Father. Like a Warrior engaging their spiritual enemy on the field of battle every day with the Heart of God, the Sword of His Word, and the Shield of Faith and Trust in God! Jesus reminds us of this Truth:
“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33).
The Warrior Needs A War to Test and Prove this Warrior! Our Commander Jesus Christ has allowed sufferings and persecutions in this world, so that we will Grow into Seasoned, Battle tested, Faithful Warriors of the Kingdom of God! Ooooh Rah!
We were Born in Combat.
We Live in Combat, and
We’ll Die in Combat on Graduation Day from this world! Oooooh Rah!
The Warrior is both a maturing Student of spiritual warfare, and Teacher for others from their personal Lessons Learned of spiritual warfare.
This is The Growing of a Warrior! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
