Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"The Life of Separation"
Text: Lev. 15:31
"Thus you shall separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, lest they die in their uncleanness when they defile My tabernacle that is among them."
"The Life of Separation," is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. As Warriors of the Kingdom of God we are expected to Live a Life of Separation from sin. Holiness and unholiness don't mix. Like water and oil, they are separated. We are "in the world but we're not from the world;" and our life should demonstrate this clearly for all to see.
The details of different discharges from the body illustrate the details of different sins of omission and commission that make us unclean.
The guilty person's presentation of the burnt offering and sin offering illustrates our responsibility to confess and repent of the sin we have committed against God. The offering we bring to our High Priest is the life He gave for our sin.
Passion Week Devotional
Day 5 Today:
"The Lamb and The Meal"
Text: Luke 22:7-8
"Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
Today, Peter and John are sent to arrange the Passover Meal; and after sundown Jesus and His disciples will eat the Passover Meal. He will institute the Lord's Supper, Communion (Luke 22:14-20); and expose His betrayer, not naming him (Luke 22:21-23). He will teach what He modeled, Servant Leadership; and by this evening He will be in the Garden of Gethsemane agonizing in prayer while His disciples slept nearby. He will be betrayed with a kiss by His betrayer Judas (Luke 22:48) and all the disciples, except John, will flee. Arrested by the priests and taken to the house of the high priest (Luke 22:54). Peter will deny he ever knew Jesus (Luke 22:54-62).
Meditation: "Love Lives To Serve"
Consider our ways:
This Pure, Innocent, and Perfect Lamb - our Lord and Savior; was abandoned by those He Loved, beaten furiously by those who hated Him, and mocked and blasphemed by the spiritual leaders. His Love for all mankind never wavers. He IS Love, and Love Lives To Serve.
When we are hated, rejected, beaten physically or with the tongues of wicked people, betrayed by those we love and care deeply for, and abandoned by all - Do We still Live to Serve?
God's Perfect Love Working in us, COMPELS us and Empowers us to Live a Life of Service (Phil.2:12-13).
"Oh Jesus, please help me to 'empty' myself of "me" so I can be 'full' of "You." I must decrease so You can increase in my life (John 3:30). "Help me Live to Serve like You!"
