Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"The Offering of a Grateful Heart"
"When anyone offers a grain offering to the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour. And he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it."
Our Commander has a Grateful Heart on the menu for Breakfast this morning.
"A Grateful Heart is a Great Heart!"
The Grain Offering was a meat offering symbolizing thanksgiving for God's provision of food. The greater part of this offering was eaten by the priest, as his portion for food.
This offering was flavored with the Oil of God's Wisdom being responsible for this provision, and the Frankincense of a heart that bleeds humility and gratefulness. Salt flavored this offering and made it acceptable to God (Lev.2:13).
This was a picture of our Commander Jesus, as Son of Man, filled with Holy Spirit without measure (John 3:34). He was the Frankincense of a Man of Sorrows well acquainted with grief (Isa.53:3). The Salt of His Perfect Life and Sacrificial Death was a sweet smelling savor to Father God (Isa.53:11).
Our life as God's Warrior is presented as a Living Sacrifice to Him daily (Rom.12:1), with a Grateful Heart for His continual provision. "Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness,"(2Corin.9:10).
The Living Sacrifice of our life is flavored with Wisdom of the Oil of Holy Spirit, Who we are immersed in; and the Frankincense of a surrendered life that imitates Our Commander as a sweet smelling savor to God (Eph.5:1-2). And we live and walk before God and Man as the Salt of the earth (Matt.5:13) that flavors everything we say and do as Warriors of the Kingdom of God. Ooooh Rah!
This is the Offering of a Grateful Heart - our Surrendered Life! Oooh Rah!
