Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
Text: Leviticus 7:13
“Besides the cakes, as his offering he shall offer leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offering.”
“The Peacemaker” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Because of His Great Love for humanity, Jesus Christ became The Peacemaker between God and Man…
Our Commander Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world.(John 1:29). As our Peace Offering He put an end to all sacrifices under the law of Moses; because He Is the Peacemaker between God and Mankind, to all who believe and trust in Him.
Leaven was a symbol of sin and therefore was never offered on the altar.
The cakes of unleavened bread symbolized God and the leavened bread symbolized Mankind.
After the peace offering of the animal was offered on the altar, a heave offering and a wave offering was performed by the priest. The priest held one unleavened cake in one hand and a cake of leavened bread in the other hand; and “waved” them from right to left several times, and then “heaved” them up and down several times indicating all things are from God and all things are to God.
We can see our Peacemaker on the Cross as our Peace Offering, once and forever, as Son of God and Perfect Son of Man. He created in Himself one new man from the two making peace:
“For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation,
having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace,
and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.
And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near.
For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father.” (Eph.2:14-18).
Oh Hallelujah! This Peace Offering is the symbol of communion based upon reconciliation between God and Man through The Peacemaker! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
