Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Prison Bus”
Text: Judges 16:20
“And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” So he awoke from his sleep, and said, “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.”
“The Prison Bus,” is on the menu for Breakfast this morning.
God gave me a dream of a Prison Bus with 30 convicted prisoners plus 2, on the guard’s list of prisoners. 30 prisoners “belonged” there for their crime, but 2 were there because they “chose” to be there. The 2 rode on the bus with the others, lived among them, ate among them; but some “invisible force” separated the 2 from the others. Even the guard treated them better that he treated the 30.
Then one day the Guard “took the count of prisoners on the bus and there were 31 plus 1. 1 of the 2 had rejected the “invisible force of Mercy” for the last time, and become a prisoner for life on the devil’s Prison Bus to hell.
This is what happens when “believer’s are snared by the deceitfulness of sin.
They “tolerate” sin in their life and “choose” to ride on the devil’s prison bus through life. They “ride” with prisoners of Doubt, Fear, Unbelief, Lust of f the Flesh, Lust of the Eye, and the Pride of Life (1John 2:15-17)
and all along the way the invisible force of Grace and Mercy is with them waiting for them to turn, confess and repent of their sin. All they have to do is Turn to Mercy, confess their sin, and repent of their sin!
Sadly, most of those who “choose” to ride this prison bus, again and again, become like the 30.
Samson was a picture of the 2 who chose to ride the devil’s prison bus again and again; until one day he woke up and said “I will go out as before, at other times, and shake myself free!” But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him.” He had become number 31 on the list of prisoners!
God’s Grace and Mercy rescued Samson at the end, when his hair grew once again, he repented from his foolishness, and Grace and Mercy forgave and empowered him to kill more Philistines in his death than in his lifetime.
Take another Lesson from Samson and Refuse to ride on the devil’s prison bus! This is a disgraceful violation of your Commander’s Rules of Engagement with the enemy!
In the Warrior’s Life, Sin Meets The Blade of God’s Word immediately, and confession and repentance respond accordingly! Lessons learned from each encounter build our Faith, Trust, and Obedience to God; and our hatred of sin!
We Will Not Ride On the devil’s Prison Bus! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
