Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"The Shifting Tides of Indifference"
"And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a loyal heart."
It's a tasteless Breakfast we eat this morning as we see Amaziah's aimless indifference to God's ways. When God's Way suited him, he obeyed; however, when God's Way did not agree with his way, his heart of indifference led him into pride, idolatry, and assassination.
A heart of indifference is like the ocean's tide; constantly restless, shifting, going out and coming in, indifferent and routine.
This is also the picture of the world we live in today. Too many Christians have been drawn into this aimless, indifference to the ways of God. Like tasteless salt their life of indifference and mediocrity not only makes their "Christian life," boring and powerless - but it teaches others to practice the same lifestyle. They refuse to stand for righteousness and they refuse to call out sin for what it is, lawlessness! They "just want to get along with everyone."
Unfortunately, if they refuse to repent from this indifference, and Choose to make Stand for Righteousness, they will all end up in the default destination of hell, because "they never KNEW God!" (Matt.7:21-23)
Warriors don't have this indifference because we Know God. We spend time regularly with Him morning, noon, and evening; (Psa.55:17) and in between we're actively engaged in fellowship with Him; "walking in His Light with Him.."(1John1:7) We know Him and His Power and Presence by fighting battles for righteousness together with Him. Sometimes He tells us to "take a knee," and let Him fight for us; because the fight is too great for us. And sometimes we engage the enemy with His Power and Presence roaring through us and blowing the enemy away with miraculous moments of healing, deliverance, and walls of opposition collapsing into dust.
This is how we Know Him - this is Why we fight our battles; "that we might Know Him and the Power of His Resurrection and the Fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death." (Phil.3:8-11)
The life of a Warrior is not indifferent, it's an exciting Adventure, Walking with our Commander every day.
The ebb and flow of indifference in the world culture has polarized people and separated them from each other.
The Warrior walks among these people as a Lantern showing the wonder of God's Love working in us and through us - all the while flavoring our relationships with the Salt that makes people thirsty for the life we live with our Commander Jesus!
Be the Light and Be the Salt, Warrior!
Our sin sick world is crying out for this - and our Commander is expecting us to accomplish this rescue mission for mankind. Oooh Rah!
