Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Showroom of Godly Character”
Text: Genesis 41:16
“So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, “It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.”
“The Showroom of Godly Character,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Sometimes it seems that God is not doing anything in our life when actually He is continuously transforming you and I more into His image. Part of this work is Building Godly Character in you and I.
That’s what he was doing in Joseph as a young boy, as a slave, a prisoner, and Prime Minister to Pharoah.
This Warrior Joseph was an example of what I call “The Showroom of Godly Character.” Pharoah recognized this Godly Character in Joseph by his humble acknowledgment of God as the Source of knowledge and wisdom. (v.37-38).
Joseph told Pharoah “It’s not in me; God will give Pharoah an answer of peace.” Then he gave Pharoah the Knowledge of what the dream meant and the Wisdom of how to prepare for the coming disaster; this was the practical display of God’s Character in Joseph’s life.
This Showroom of Godly Character happened because Joseph maintained an intimate and personal relationship with God; he Grew this Character by staying focused upon God in-spite of his circumstances!
This is what the Faithful Warrior of God does.
You and I are learning in a practical way, through the stuff of life, that God is working all things out for good in our life as we keep Him First in our life, (Rom.8:28). That’s what Joseph did; and he Grew up in the Grace and Knowledge of God from the young boy in the pit to the palace of Pharoah as Prime Minister in Egypt.
This is how you and I Grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Commander Jesus Christ (2Pet.3:18) by Loving Him Supremely and Walking humbly and obediently with Him. Holy Spirit does this work in you and I (Phil.2:13), making you and I a “Showroom of Godly Character.”
God’s Character is wrapped up in the “Treasure” of Jesus Christ living in our “earthen vessel.”
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” (2Corin.4:7).
Be encouraged Warrior as you walk In His Hand and In His Love; He’s Making you a Showroom for His Character! Oooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
