Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
Deut.25:1 - 26:15
“The Spirit of Amalek”
“Therefore it shall be, when the LORD your God has given you rest from your enemies all around, in the land which the LORD your God is giving you to possess as an inheritance, that you will blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven. You shall not forget.”
“The Spirit of Amalek” is on the menu for Breakfast this morning. This spirit of wickedness that drove the people of Amalek to hate God and His people Israel was satan himself! This is a picture of sin for us. It “meets us on the way” of life; sneaking up on us from behind, “from our rear ranks,” when we’re unaware, “tired and weary” from the fight for righteousness... This spirit does not fear God - it hates God.
Our Commander Jesus Christ defeated this “Amalek” on the Cross once and for all. Now, we have the privilege of enforcing Our Commander’s victory every day by Obedience. We Obey and then Deploy the Word of God on the spiritual battlefield of life. This is how we destroy Amalek and “blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.”
Yes, we’ll have times of weariness and fatigue in combat, all Warriors experience this. Our Commander knows this so He reminds us to “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”(Matt.11:28-29). Aaah Yes, we take His yoke of rest upon us, in the fight, as He takes over. And then we “learn from Him,” how to conquer Amalek; even when we are weak - because we are made strong in our Commander’s strength! “Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”(2Corin.12:10). The All Sufficient Grace of God meets us in our weariness (2Corin.12:9).
Take Courage Warrior! The Day is at hand when our Commander and King will withdraw us from this earth in the Rapture and we’ll have the Permanent Rest from Amalek in Heaven! Ooooh Rah!
Listen up Warrior! You’re fighting a defeated enemy! Your fight is Enforcing The Victory of Your Commander! Don’t Forget This! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
