Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“The Warning, Examination, and Reminder”
Text: Leviticus 23:25
“You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.’ ”
“The Warning, Examination and Reminder,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Holidays are meant to be days when there is a rest from “customary work.” God Gave Israel these “Holy-Days” for the Purpose of Resting from customary work and Reflecting on The Warning, Examination, and Reminder, of Who they were and Where they were ultimately going.....
These three Holy-Days were given in order to be observed on the seventh month (September and October of our calendar).
An offering made by fire to the Lord was required for each Holy-Day; verses 25, 27, 36.
The Feast of Trumpets on the first day of the seventh month was a warning to be alert and prepare for self-examination before God on the tenth day.
The Day of Atonement, was on the tenth of the month when they would afflict their souls, and Examine their heart.
The Feast of Tabernacles on the fifteenth day to Reflect on their journey from Egypt to The Land of Promise, when they lived in tents, temporary dwellings.
Israel’s Holy-Days were Annual. The Warriors Holy-Days are Daily!
Our Daily “Offering made by fire to the Lord,” is made by Faith in Jesus Christ our Offering and Priest, and the All Consuming Fire of Holy Spirit.
The Warning of the Feast of Trumpets is the conviction by Holy Spirit of sin in our life;
The Self-Examination of The Day of Atonement is done as we meet with our Commander for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner; and by walking in His Light with Him (1John 1:7);
And the Reminder that we are living in “tents” and we’re just passing through the wilderness of this world as pilgrims on our way home to Heaven, our Land of Promise. Like Peter tells you and I today:
“Yes, I think it is right, as long as I am in this tent, to stir you up by reminding you,
knowing that shortly I must put off my tent, just as our Lord Jesus Christ showed me.
Moreover I will be careful to ensure that you always have a reminder of these things after my decease.” (2Peter 1:13-15).
Listen up Warrior! Your Warning, Examination, and Reminder is Every Day; Living in the Hand of God, under the watchful eye of God, and In the Awesome Power of God.
Walk with Your Commander Jesus Christ in Fellowship with Him in His Light.(1John 1:7). Stay Ready and you won’t have to Get Ready. Gabriel’s Trumpet can blast at any time, Announcing God’s Rapture of His Warriors! I can hear my Pastor singing:
“Gabriel blow that horn,
I want My children home,
Prepare the marriage feast for that bright and glorious morn...
Let it Sound.... Let it Sound.....”
Warrior at your side,
