Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
Text: Exodus 10:3
“So Moses and Aaron came in to Pharaoh and said to him, “Thus says the LORD God of the Hebrews: ‘How long will you refuse to humble yourself before Me? Let My people go, that they may serve Me.”
God’s Terms to Mankind, “Unconditional Surrender,” are on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Pharaoh continued trying to bargain with God, “negotiating a compromise,” not a surrender.
His shallow “words” of repentance never produced sincere “acts” of repentance.
This is a picture of Mankind today; “refusing to humble themself before God,” and trying to “bargain with God,” by holding on to a “pet sin” as a hostage, like Pharaoh wanted to hold the little ones and animals behind.
God’s Terms for Mankind are Unconditional Surrender of our Life and Possessions.
He has ALREADY Unconditionally Surrendered Himself for you and I as the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world (John 1:29).
Now, it’s only reasonable that mankind should respond to this supreme act of love, and the goodness of God that leads them to repentance (Rom.2:4), and Present themself to God as a Living Sacrifice, wholly, and Acceptable to God, which is our reasonable service. (Rom.12:1)
And follow through with this Unconditional Surrender with acts demonstrating sincere repentance:
“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Rom.12:2).
No bargaining, no pet sin, no conditions; our Life and Possessions remain in the hand of God. And we live a life of transformation into God’s image by the power of Holy Spirit working in us, both to Will and to Do what pleases Him.(Phil.2:12-13)
In other words, here’s the divine exchange: All of Me for All of Him, My Life for His Life, My Mess for His Perfection! Unconditional Surrender! Ooooh Rah!
