Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"Unity in Diversity"
Text: Num. 2:2
"Everyone of the children of Israel shall camp by his own standard, beside the emblems of his father’s house; they shall camp some distance from the tabernacle of meeting."
The order and beauty of "unity in diversity," is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. What an awesome spectacle this must have been; 603,550 Warriors marching in unity! Without unity they would be a mob, but in unity they were an awesome army! They were held together by Who was in the Center of this Awesome army - Almighty God, with His attending priests. God was to be Front and Center in the individual's life and the Army's life.
How beautiful it is to our Commander and King; for brethren to dwell together in unity (Psa.133:1-3).
This is a picture of the Church, the Body of Christ (Eph.5:30-32). Although we are many people we are one Body and members individually (1Corin.12:12-27). Our goal is get along with each other, even though we're different in many ways; remembering each of us has a unique contribution to make to this Body (Eph.4:15-16). We're one family, birthed by one God, with one Hope, one Calling, one Baptism, One God and Father of us all.
Our diversity does not separate us, it makes us beautiful and strong. Like Isaiah said in (Isa.8:18) "Here am I and the children whom the LORD has given me!
We are for signs and wonders in Israel
From the LORD of hosts,
Who dwells in Mount Zion."
We, as Warriors and as the Church, are a 'sign and wonder' in this world when we walk together in unity in the bond of peace (Eph.4:1-6). And the world will know that we are Christians by our love for God and for each other (John 13:35)
This is the beauty of Unity in Diversity. Ooooh Rah!
