Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Warriors are Worshippers!”
Text: Nehemiah 12:27
“Now at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought out the Levites in all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem to celebrate the dedication with gladness, both with thanksgivings and singing, with cymbals and stringed instruments and harps.”
Oh Hallelujah! This Truth that “Warriors Are Worshippers,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning!
A Choice Weapon of any Warrior is a Melody, a Song of Worship to Our Commander and King!
This is how it was in the days of King David, the Sweet Psalmist of Israel. The Great Warrior King David was a Worshipper! He made the musical instruments and established the daily practice of purification and worship to God of the Priests, Levites, singers, and people of Israel.
Now, in the days of Zerubbabel and Nehemiah the Priests, Levites, and Singers also led the people in daily worship; and especially on this Dedication of the Wall around Jerusalem: “Then the priests and Levites purified themselves, and purified the people, the gates, and the wall,” (v.30).
This was not just a “feel good,” one-time entertainment event, it was to be a daily worship from the heart of each person to God at the morning and evening sacrifice offerings. These leaders of worship must each be a Person Who Worships God Personally - BEFORE they can lead others to Worship Him. They had to purify themselves before they could lead others to purify themselves.
That’s why Warriors Are Worshippers!
You see, without purity you and I can’t Worship and Praise God in Spirit and in Truth, the way He commands us to Worship Him:
“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”(John 4:23-24)
Some may “appear” to be worshipping God, however their ungodly lifestyle reveals their worship as “soulish,” not spiritual. “Entertainers” are like this but not Warriors of God.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb.4:12).
I can remember being convicted by Holy Spirit one Sunday morning as I was worshipping God in the song service! I stopped singing and went to the altar and repented. When I got up and went back to my seat there was a freshness in my worship because I went from worshipping God with my soul, to worshipping God in Spirit and in Truth! Ooooh Rah!
Oh Hallelujah! That’s why Only Faithful Warriors can be True Worshippers of God!
Our Commander is always looking for those who will Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth - May He Find You and I Worshipping Him Every Day In Spirit and In Truth! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
