Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(2 Kings 4)
“What Do You Have?”
Text: 2 Kings 4:2
“So Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “Your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil.”
God’s question to us, “What Do You Have,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The widow woman had a need and Elisha asked her “What Do You Have In The House?”
She answered “a small anointing flask of oil.”
Elisha then said Use What You Have!
Go borrow lots of large Jars from your neighbors -
and “pour out what you have” in the small flask into the large jars…..
And God Multiplied What She Poured Out from a little flask into many large Jars. an Abundance of Oil!
God asked this question to others like Moses, (Exod.4:2), who had a rod, and his disciples who had been given five loaves of bread and two little fish from a little boy, (Mark 6:38).
Moses used his rod, and God multiplied it with miracles in Egypt and the wilderness for forty years. The Disciples used the loaves and fish, and God multiplied them to feed 5,000 men and their families in a remote area.
The widow, Moses, and the Disciples, each had a need; and God told each of them:
“What Do You Have?”
“Use What You Have,”
“Pour Out All That You Have.”
Then God MULTIPLIED What they had into far more than they needed!
This teaches you and I a Powerful Lesson today.
When we have a need, hear God ask you “what do you have,”
Then Use what you have - pour all of what you have out into His hand - and He Will Multiply It far more than what you needed.
What Do you and I all have, all the time? The Word and Promises of God!
When you and I have a need we Use and Pour Out all our Faith and Trust in the Word and Promises of God, into His hand -
And God Multiplies what we have far beyond what we needed.
Here are some examples:
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,”(Eph.3:20).
In other words, We Do the Possible, “Use what we have, pour it all out into God’s Hand,” and then God Does the Impossible of Multiplying what you and I poured out in Faith and Trust Far More Than We Needed!
Hear Your Commander’s Promise, Warrior:
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.”(2Corin.9:8).
Listen up Warrior! When you and I Use What God has Given To You And I, His Word; You and I can Boldly and Confidently Declare, as Paul declared to the Philippians:
“And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”(Phil.4:19)
God Meets our needs according to His Unlimited Riches In Glory - NOT Just according to our need, but Far Beyond Our Need:
Exceedingly Abundantly Beyond What we can ask or think, ‘according to the Power of Holy Spirit Working In You and I!” Oh Hallelujah!
