Good Morning Warrior!
It’s The Lord’s Day, Hallelujah!
Word for the Day:
“What Do You See In The Mirror?”
Text: Exodus 38:8
“He made the laver of bronze and its base of bronze, from the bronze mirrors of the serving women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.”
The question of “What do you see in the mirror,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
The mirrors of the women were made from highly polished bronze; and bronze was a symbol of judgement. The Laver was made of bronze and the altar of sacrifice was also made of bronze.
The Laver was symbolically ‘one big mirror of God’s Judgement.’
The water was for ceremonially cleansing the priests from their sin - before they approached the bronze altar where they would offer “the blood of animals,” for their sin and the sins of the people.
In other words, the Mirror of the Laver shows us our sin, the water cleanses us of our sin, and the altar of sacrifice shows us the cost of our sin.
Love Shows us our sin -
Love Cleanses us from our sin -
Love Pay the Cost of our sin.
The Law of Moses was symbolic of The Law of Grace and Mercy that came through Jesus.
The Mirror of God’s Word shows us our sin, our Obedience to God’s Word cleanses us from our sin, and the altar of sacrifice shows you and I the Cost Jesus paid for our sin.
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her,
that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word,
that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” (Eph.5:25-27).
What Do You See In The Mirror of God’s Word? The Warrior sees themself; their conscience, their heart, and their desperate need for God’s Living Water(John 4:10).
We wash our self with the Word of God daily for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
And we are reminded of the Cost of sin by “presenting our life to our Commander Jesus Christ as a Living Sacrifice to Him - every day! (Rom.12:1-2)
Listen up Warrior! Don’t just ‘hear the Word’ - ‘Do The Word,’ Practice Obedience to the Word of God and Remember What You See in the Mirror of God’s Word.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.”(James 1:22-25).
Warrior at your side,
