Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"What you See is not always What you Get"
"For we will destroy this place, because the outcry against them has grown great before the face of the Lord, and the Lord has sent us to destroy it.”
This morning for Breakfast we see that What we See is not always What we Get. Often times destruction, shame, and wickedness, hides in the "appearance" of fruitfulness, and beauty.
What Lot Saw as "well watered like the Garden of the Lord...", Gen.13:10), was actually a pit of wickedness and depravity; "the men of Sodom, both old and young, from every quarter of the city, surrounded the house,"(Gen.19:4).
The Fruit that Adam and Eve Saw had the sin of disobedience and eternal separation from God, hidden within the appearance of "good for food, pleasant to the eyes, and desire to make men wise," (Gen.3:6).
What we See with our natural eyes can deceive us, however what we see with our spiritual eyes will always be the Truth.
I remember seeing good opportunities in my life, however when I spoke with my Commander about this, He helped me look through His eyes, my "spiritual eyes" and I saw the Truth. It looked good but it would lead me away from the "best" that God had waiting for me down the road ahead of me.
Listen up Warrior! Take a lesson from Lot. What Lot saw as a "well watered plain and fruitful garden," is the Dead Sea today; 10 miles wide and 30 miles long. It stinks and nothing grows there. Muluyey and I have been there. It's a monument of God's wrath on the sin which bears the name of Sodom, the sin of Sodomy.
In our natural eyes; What we See is not always What we Get. However, when we walk with our Commander and King, in His Light every day (1John 1:7) - We Look through His eyes, which are our "spiritual eyes," and we See the Truth, at all times! Ooooh Rah!
