Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(2Kings 14:23 - 15:31)
“When Greatness Evaporates”
Text: 2 Kings 15:3-5
“And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his father Amaziah had done,
except that the high places were not removed; the people still sacrificed and burned incense on the high places.
Then the LORD struck the king, so that he was a leper until the day of his death; so he dwelt in an isolated house. And Jotham the king’s son was over the royal house, judging the people of the land.”
“When Greatness Evaporates,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. When we Own Greatness in self-pride, it Evaporates when tested by God - because Greatness does not belong to us, it belongs to God Alone!
We Manage Greatness as a Warrior -
but God Owns Greatness!
This was Uzziah’s lesson. His Greatness in self-pride was tested by God’s Holiness in the Temple, and Evaporated into leprosy. “God struck the king so that he was a leper until the day of his death.” (2Chron.26:1-23).
Listen up Warrior! We have been entrusted with the Greatness of Our Commander Jesus Christ to Manage His Greatness in us.
Think of this! As dirt plus God, clay vessels of flesh, we have the Greatness of His Treasure of the Gospel in us to Manage:
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.”(2Corin.4:7)
The Greatness of God’s Strength is Found in Our Weakness. Paul said this:
“And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”(2Corin.12:9-10).
God’s Greatness of Grace is Found in Our Humility.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”(Eph.2:8-9).
“But He gives more grace. Therefore He says:
“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6).
“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,” (1Peter 5:6).
The Greatness of God in us Evaporates when touched by self-pride. However the Goodness of God leads us to Repentance where the Greatness of God is Restored! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
