Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
"When Much Becomes Little and Little Becomes Much"
"Then Esau took his wives, his sons, his daughters, and all the persons of his household, his cattle and all his animals, and all his goods which he had gained in the land of Canaan, and went to a country away from the presence of his brother Jacob."
Our Breakfast this morning shows us the continuing story of humanity. Gathering "much" of the things in this world; only to end our life with the "little" of spiritual poverty.
For those who "love this world and the things of this world: Much will become Little at the end of the day.(1John 2:15-17)
This is Esau's continuing legacy. He has gathered much in the "temporal" things of this world yet he has very little in the "eternal" things of God. In fact, he despises and has no interest in the spiritual things of God.
While Esau is growing in power and influence in Mount Seir with kings and chiefs; Israel is hungry and few in number: Little in the temporal things of this world - but living large, in the Eternal things of God's Promise of Protection, Provision, and Multiplication!
Yes, Little becomes Much in the Eternal Perspective for the Warrior!
We keep our eyes on our Commander and King. His "Much" as Almighty God became "Little" as Son of God -
So that our "Little" as common dirt could become "Much" as a son and daughter of Almighty God, and "partakers of His Divine nature"(2Pet.1:2-4).
