Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“When There is no King”
Text: Judges 19:1
“And it came to pass in those days, when there was no king in Israel, that there was a certain Levite staying in the remote mountains of Ephraim. He took for himself a concubine from Bethlehem in Judah.”
“When There is no King,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. When there is no Absolute Truth to reign in the heart, man is left with his desperately wicked heart:
“The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?”(Jer.17:9).
I personally dread reading this Word for the Day on this day each year; because it shows me the worst of mankind, and the horrors of hell for eternity. It reminds me of what will happen to any person “When there is no King” of Absolute Truth ruling in their heart. When there is no King of Righteousness ruling in the heart of man this is what man becomes; “.... aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.”(Eph.2:12).
We see a glimpse of this wickedness in the world we live in today.
Let us take a lesson from this and be thrilled and eternally Grateful that Our Commander and King has rescued us from this Doom of Horror.
“He brought me in from the field of sin,
With a hand of mercy He brought me in.
Just look out yonder where I have been,
Oh I praise God,
He brought me in.”
He IS Our King of Righteousness Who Rules our heart now! He has Rescued and Redeemed us from this Doom - and Has Commissioned us to Bring His Message of Rescue and Redemption to those who are still “without the King of Righteousness” reigning in their heart. Don’t ever forget this Warrior! We too were once like them; “when there was no King of Righteousness,” reigning in our heart. Aaaaah, this reminds me of another song:
“You are my Lord,
You are my King,
You are my Master,
You are my Lord,
That’s Why I Sing To You,
Ha - le - lu - jah
Ha - le - lu - jah “
Warrior at your side,
