Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Worship begins with sacrifice”
Text: Leviticus 1:3
“If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD.”
“Worship begins with sacrifice,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Leviticus is God’s Guidebook on how to Worship, Serve, and Obey our Holy God. Worship begins with the sacrifice of a free will burnt offering on the altar at the door of the tabernacle.
The burnt offering was required to enter the tabernacle, the dwelling place of God; it made peace between man and God, and it was done by the priests every day, morning and evening
This symbolized the free will offering of Jesus in every way; the perfect male, given of His own free will, at the door of God’s dwelling place with mankind.
God loved us so much that He gave His ONLY begotten Son as a Perfect Burnt offering for you and I.(John 3:16)
Jesus loves you and I so much that He gave His life as our Burnt offering for our sin, to make peace with God and Man.(Eph.2:14-18).
Jesus “tabernacled,” (dwelt among us,) as Son of Man…
“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”(John 1:14).
Because of His Great Love for us Jesus gave Himself of His own free will as an offering for our sin (Heb.10:12-14) -
Humbled and Grateful for His Love, you and I lay down our life of our own free will as a living sacrifice for Him, it’s the only reasonable thing to do (Rom.12:1-2).
Oh Hallelujah! This is why Worship begins with sacrifice, and sacrifice is the fruit of Agape Love! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
