Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
“Little Faith is still Saving Faith!”
Text: Joshua 2:11
“And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the LORD your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.”
“Little Faith is still Saving Faith,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning.
Heading toward Jericho the two spies sent by Joshua were guided to the house of Rahab, where they were received and hidden safely from the king’s men.
Out of all the people in Jericho God saw Rahab and found faith in her heart. One person among thousands that feared God and trusted God.
She didn’t know God personally like the Hebrews did, but she heard about the things the God of Israel did for Israel. She declared her faith by saying: “The LORD your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.”
She confessed with her mouth and believed in her heart that God Is God! (Rom.10:9-13). She called on the name of the Lord and she and her family were saved!
Her faith was not strong faith but it was Still Saving Faith! Rahab’s Faith is noted among the heroes of Faith recorded in Hebrews 11:31; and her works of faith in receiving and hiding the spies is noted in James 2:25.
By Faith she knew Who God Is,
By Experience she knew who she was,
And she demonstrated her confession and repentance by turning to God and Trusting Him to save her life and the lives of her family.
Little faith believes and trusts in the works of Jesus Christ on the Cross; His perfect life paid our sin debt, and saved our life forever!
Little faith says it’s not by works of righteousness but by His blood alone, that I am complete in Him. (Col.2:9-10).
Sometimes our faith may seem weak, yet when we remember that the Source of our faith is the works of Jesus Christ on the Cross; our little faith is swallowed up in His Perfect Faith. In our weakness His Grace and Strength is fully displayed (2Corin.12:9). Oh Hallelujah! Let’s sing:
“ My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus' blood and righteousness
I dare not trust the sweetest frame
But wholly lean on Jesus' name
On Christ the solid rock I stand
All other ground is sinking sand
All other ground is sinking sand.”
Little Faith is Still Saving Faith because our Weakness is swallowed up in His Grace and Mercy, when we Believe and Trust in Him Alone! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
