Good Morning Warrior!
Word for the Day:
(Deuteronomy 32:15 - 52)
"Set our heart on God’s Word”
Text: Deuteronomy 32:46-47
"and he said to them: “Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today, which you shall command your children to be careful to observe—all the words of this law.
For it is not a futile thing for you, because it is your life, and by this word you shall prolong your days in the land which you cross over the Jordan to possess.”
“Set our heart on God’s Word,” is on our menu for Breakfast this morning. These closing words of Moses to Israel on the last day of his life summarized his life: “Set your hearts on all the words which I testify among you today….”
It’s not a futile thing to do this because it is the Source of your life. The Word of God is “life to those who find it and health to all their flesh.”(Prov.4:20-22).
This was the message Moses taught and lived throughout his life as a Servant Leader to Israel: he set his heart upon the Word of God. God’s Word guided him, strengthened him, and encouraged him through all the murmurings and rebellions of Israel; and it will do the same for you and I.
This is our message also as a Warrior of God and Servant Leader of others; we set our heart upon God’s Word because we love God.
“The Warrior is God’s earthen vessel and God’s Word is our Treasure! (2Corin.4:7)
His Word is Life (John 1:4,14) working in you and I, changing us more into His image and likeness (2Corin.3:18). His Word makes His desires to become our desires, His Love to become our love, and His attitudes to become our attitudes. The more we meet with Him for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner the more we are “setting our heart upon His Word.”
When challenges come the Word Himself answers. Holy Spirit reminds us of God’s answer to any situation, and we deploy the verse with the prayer of faith and eliminate the threat! Ooooh Rah! God’s Word is always ready to respond because we have set our heart upon the Word. Oh Hallelujah!
King David said:
“I have set the LORD always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.”(Psa.16:8).
We can say that too when we Set our heart upon God’s Word.
Keep your Dates with Jesus, set your heart upon His Word, and He will make you triumph over every circumstance you face, in the power of Holy Spirit! Ooooh Rah!
Warrior at your side,
Jesus and Billy
